A catch-up with Matt from Aussie Windscreens

Get to know our Business Street community.

We recently caught up with Matt Sandford, owner of Aussie Windscreens, for a quick chat.

Describe your business in 3 words: Automotive glass replacement.

How did you get here?  It was my father's business and I was working in it.  I purchased it from him when I was 20 years old when the opportunity arose and haven’t looked back since.

What’s your biggest challenge in business?  Sales – booking customers, communicating with customers, and meeting customer’s satisfaction.

If you weren’t a business owner what would you be?  No idea?!  Probably in the public service.

Do you have any tips for other business owners?  Get a good team behind you.  Good staff and backend support.

Is being in business worth it?  Yes, 100%.

Do you have anyone who you look up to, or is sort of like a mentor?  Dan Conroy from The Knox Made in Watson.

How does Business Street support your business?  I don’t have to worry about anything in the backend of my business.  All my taxes, all my accounting is up to date – never a worry.  Leaving me to focus on what I do best.

Do you have any hobbies?  Ironman Triathlon

So ,what is your best time?  10 hours, 54 minutes

Editors note, anyone who gets a time, any time, for such a tough event is amazing!

Thanks for catching up with us Matt! We love being able to support local business owners!
